Telecommunications Fraud
With telephone hacking and related fraud estimated at £35 billion annually, the abuse of telecommunications systems is clearly an expense business can do without.
Yet, like much fraudulent activity, telephone hacking and abuse often go undetected for many years before suspicions are aroused simply because fraudsters are very adept at covering their tracks.
However, our diagnostic tools for fixed-line telephones are easily installed, and we will:
- Develop a traffic monitoring strategy to identify security vulnerabilities.
- Investigate PBX hacking, sex and gambling subscription abuse, Direct Inward System Access (DISA), Premium Rate Service (PRS), roaming or any other suspected fraudulent activities.
- Identify fraudulent call patterns, abnormalities and unusually high telephone usage with Call Data Analysis.
- Tape interviews of suspects to Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) standards, and assist in criminal, civil or industrial tribunal proceedings.
- Package our findings in easy-to-read chart form, and handle police reports or statement preparation.
- Design procedures for future fraud detection, and training to improve security awareness among employees.
If you would like us to walk you through a diagnostic examination an initial consultation implies no commitment to proceed and our discretion is assured.
